The Rock Springs Police Civil Service Commission is requesting
applications from persons interested in employment with the Rock Springs
Police Department.
Entry Level Wage is $3,902.00 per month with
excellent benefits.
Applications must be turned in at City Hall by September 12, 2008
by 5:00 p.m..
Candidates must pass a physical fitness performance test, an oral
board interview and a basic education test.
The Rock Springs Police Civil Service Commission has set September 18th, 2008 as the next testing day for entry-level patrol officer applicants
for the Rock Springs Police Department.
The physical fitness performance test will be held at the Rock
Springs Family Recreation Center located at 3900 Sweetwater Drive in
Rock Springs. The briefing will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. This is a
pass/ fail test. Comfortable clothing such as shorts, sweats,
t-shirt, tennis shoes or sport shoes are recommended for the physical
test.
Please be on time for all the testing.
If you will be attending the physical
fitness screening, please call April Thompson at (307) 352-1500 to confirm. If you have any other
questions, we will try to answer them as well.
If you pass the physical fitness test, you will be advised to
report to the Rock Springs Police Department with your original
documents i.e. driver’s license, social security card, birth
certificate, proof of American citizenship (if applicable), diplomas,
and certificates of marriages/divorces. Oral board interviews will
be held in the Rock Springs City Hall Council Chambers following.
If you have not already taken a (Test of Adult Basic Education) T.A.B.E.
9A or 10A test you will need to make arrangements prior to the testing
day.

Note: To qualify for employment, candidates must have reached their 21st
birthday by the date of hire.
