The Wastewater Treatment Facility, under the Public
Services Department, has an immediate opening for
a full time Support Plant Mechanic, $4,202.00 plus benefits.
D U T
I E S
Under direction, to perform a variety of skilled work related to
wastewater plant and equipment including lift stations, pumps, SCADA
systems, computers, and electrical motors; and to perform welding and
fabrication work as necessary.
Exercises technical and functional supervision over lower lever,
seasonal, and temporary staff.
Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment in a wastewater
treatment plant including clarifiers, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic
systems; diagnose and repair electric meter controls from 100v to 480v
and electronic controls of equipment from 24v to 110v.
Program, operate, repair, and train plant personnel on the SCADA
system for plant automation.

Q
U A L I F I C A T I O N S |
Must have knowledge of the principles, theory, and standard practices of
several maintenance trades as they apply to maintenance and repair of
plant structures, machinery, equipment and ground.
Three years of experience performing a variety of maintenance,
repair, and construction and equipment operation work.
Required training equivalent to a high school diploma
supplemented by specialized training in the maintenance o futility
facilities and equipment. Five
years of experience required in the repair and maintenance of pumps and
related computer equipment.
Possession of a valid driver's license with Class B - CDL, and
possession of a Grade II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator
Certificate. Availability for
on-call, stand-by, and emergency calls.
