Article 4-1 BOARD OF HEALTH
4-101 Membership.
There is hereby created for the City of Rock Springs a City Board of
Health which shall consist of the Mayor of said City, the council thereof, and
the City Health Officer. (16-1, Rev. Ord. 1938; Rev. Ord. 1963).
4-102 Powers.
Said Board of Health shall have control of all matters appertaining to the
condition of health in said City, shall have power to regulate the sale and
use of all foods, shall have power to make quarantine laws and regulations to
prevent the introduction and spreading of contagious, infectious or malignant
diseases and for the purposes herein mentioned shall have the assistance of
the police force of this City in order to enforce all regulations and rules
made by such Board. (16-2, Rev. Ord. 1938; Rev. Ord. 1963).
4-103 All Persons To Comply With Laws
and Ordinances.
All the inhabitants of this City, whether temporary or permanent residents
of this City, shall be required to comply with the provisions of the laws of
the State of Wyoming relating to public health and quarantine, and also the
ordinances of this City relating to the same subject. (16-3, Rev. Ord. 1938;
Rev. Ord. 1963).
4-104 Failure To Observe Quarantine.
It shall be unlawful for any person who shall have been placed in
quarantine by the proper officers of the State of Wyoming, the County of
Sweetwater or the City of Rock Springs to leave the place where he shall have
been quarantined, without first being lawfully discharged therefrom. (16-4,
Rev. Ord. 1938; Rev. Ord. 1963).
4-105 Penalty.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter or any of the
laws or rules made by the Board of Health of this City in the due exercise of
the powers conferred upon said Board, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any sum not more than One
Hundred ($100.00) Dollars, to which may be added the costs at the discretion
of the court. (Rev. Ord. 1963).
