Article 6-5 MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN STREETS AS PUBLIC
HIGHWAYS--REQUIRED WIDTH OF PAVEMENT
6-501 M Street.
That portion of M Street between North Front Street and Pilot Butte Avenue
shall be maintained as a public highway with a pavement width of 43 feet. (Ord.
No. 655, Sec. l(a), 6-3-40; Rev. Ord. 1963).
6-502 North Front Street.
That portion of North Front Street between M Street and Elk Street shall
be maintained as a public highway with a pavement width of 69 feet. (Ord. No.
655, Sec. l(b), 6-3-40; Rev. Ord. 1963).
6-503 South Main Street.
That portion of South Main Street between E Street and C Street shall be
maintained as a public highway with a pavement width of 70 feet. (Ord. No.
655, Sec. l(c), 6-3-40; Rev. Ord. 1963).
6-504 Fourth Street.
That portion of Fourth Street between A Street and the southerly entrance
to the subway at M Street shall be maintained as a public highway with a
pavement width of 57 feet. (Ord. No. 655, Sec. l(d), 6-3-40; Rev. Ord. 1963).
6-505 Grant Street.
That portion of Grant Street between Elk Street and the railroad company's
tracks shall be maintained as a public highway with a pavement width of 65
feet, and a pavement width of 50 feet on Grant Street and Elk Street on the
line of the viaduct. (Ord. No. 655, Sec. l(e), 6-3-40; Rev. Ord. 1963).
6-506 Elk Street.
That portion of Elk Street between North Front Street and Bridger Avenue
shall be maintained as a public highway, and the pavement shall have a width
of at least 44 feet between Evans Street and Bridger Avenue. (Ord. No. 655,
Sec. l(f), 6-3-40; Rev. Ord. 1963).
6-507 Certain Streets to Remain Public
Highways.
The streets mentioned in Sections 6-501 through 6-506, which are to be
maintained as public highways according to the terms of an agreement between
the Union Pacific Railroad Company, the State of Wyoming and the City, dated
May 28, 1940, shall not be closed as public highways, and that Ordinance 655
shall become effective upon completion and opening of the A Street viaduct and
the M Street subway. (Ord. No. 655, Sec. 1 and 2, 6-3-40; Rev. Ord. 1963).
