Living Memorial Donations

The City of Rock Springs Parks and Recreation Department has established guidelines and procedures for "Living Memorial Donations" from the public.

Living Memorial Donations are donations made by individuals who wish to honor someone by placement of tree(s) and a memorial plaque in a City of Rock Springs park, trail system, natural area or on City owned facility property, areas of which would be determined by the Parks and Recreation Department staff. These donations would be installed, maintained and protected by the City Parks Department.

The guidelines and procedures form explains the process for those interested in making donations of this nature. If you would like to make a donation, fill out the form on-line and email to (mark_lyon@rswy.net), or print the form, fill out and mail to the attention of Mark Lyon - Parks Superintendent c/o R.S. Parks and Recreation Dept., RSFRC, 3900 Sweetwater Drive, R.S., WY 82901.

This is a very unique and special way to honor someone (friend, beloved family member, group, pets, etc.) while contributing to the aesthetic beauty of our surrounding environment, and providing our 'high plains desert community' with much needed greenery.

Should you have any questions, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Rock Springs - 307-352-1440.
