KEY LOCK BOX PROGRAM
A
key lock box allows the fire department to gain immediate access to a secured facility while minimizing property damage. The key
box required in Rock Springs is the Knox Box® brand.
A key box is mandatory on new and renovated facilities that have any of the following:
· fire alarm system
· fire sprinkler system
· alternate fire suppression system
· elevator
· permit required hazardous chemical storage
· buildings with electronic access controlled doors or gates
While not mandatory at other commercial and industrial
facilities, it is strongly recommended facilities install a key lock box.
