On May 7, 2013 the Rock Springs City Council adopted the 2012 Rock Springs Master Plan: Today's Plan for Tomorrow's Future.
This document is the result of a 2½ year, intensive public process to update the City's 1982 Master Plan. It is important to note that the most critical element of the Plan is the Implementation component which can be found near the very beginning, within the Executive Summary. In order for this Plan to have meaning and fulfill its intended purpose, the Governing Body, Department Directors, and City Staff must work together in actively reviewing the Implementation Projects as outlined. As author Margaret Wheatley once wrote, "There is no power greater than a community discovering what it cares about."
